I was listening to them while trying on a pair of faux creepers ($309, down from $515) I had spotted in the store window a couple of weeks earlier after a show across the street. On the top there was stitching around the toebox, but the black crepe sole was relatively thin, making the shoe less ska and more hard bop. The leather felt thin once on the foot, but it’s likely to break in remarkably, so I bought them...."
